Eleventh week of 2024 spring semester. Normal schedule this Saturday 04/20/2024.

Spring Semester Registration Is Still OPEN.

Though Early registration ended on December 17th (All early registration will be ONLY valid if payment is received on December 17th or earliest), Spring registration is still OPEN.

Pay By Check, please

1. Mail the check along with a signed signature page.

2. If you would like to hand the check and the signed signature page to our admin team in school, you can do so on 03/02/2024.

3. Personal check or money order payable to CSCH. Please add student ID, student name and “tuition” on the memo line.

One Check per Student Please.

Pay By Zelle: Treasurer@csch-nc.org

1. ENSURE student ID, student FULL NAME and “tuition” in Zelle transaction message.

2. Sign the printed signature page, fill in the Zelle transaction ID, DATE in Check # area

3. Hand the signed signature page to front desk or mail it or email the picture to registrar@csch-nc.org

Please do not use classrooms that we don’t rent in McDougle Middle School.

We have received a notice from CHCCS and McDougle that they have a couple of concerns about the designated spaces that everyone is supposed to be. Please make sure that all our teachers, students and parents stay in the classrooms and hallways that we are renting and do not enter any other places in the building.

Graduation/Award Ceremony will be held on 05/25/2024 from 1:25 pm at Rm824.

This year’s graduation ceremony is scheduled on 05/25/2024 from 1:25 pm at Rm824 in McDougle Middle School. All the students graduating will need to be there to receive their graduation certificates. The students who earn awards in all kinds of competitions and in volunteer work will be presented with their awards certificates too.

The 24th World Chinese Students Composition Contest (2023) results available.

The World Chinese Student Composition Contest was founded in 2000. Co-sponsored by the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the All-China Taiwan Federation, the Overseas Edition of People's Daily, and "Happy Composition" magazine, it has been successfully held for , 24 sessions so far. Participants are overseas students in primary and secondary schools or Chinese schools in overseas countries and regions, as well as primary and junior high school students (including returned overseas students) in China (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). Since its inception, the competition has received widespread attention and active participation from teachers and students at home and abroad. Participating students include children of overseas Chinese from more than 30 countries and regions.

Our school has been actively promoting our students’ participation in this contest. This year we have 40 students submitted their compositions and 28 of them passed the initial screening to be qualified for the competition. In the final results that were revealed just recently, we have 1 first place winner, 2 second place winners and 2 third place winners. Three of our Chinese teachers, 6th grade Teacher Xie, 7th grade Teacher Chen, and 8th grade Teacher Wang, were winners for excellent advisors. Congratulations！

2nd place winners: 王悦琪, 7th grade; 刘萧子荀, 8th grade

3rd place winners: 刘吴凡, 8th grade; 王佳悦, 8th grade

Excellent Advisor winners: Hongbo Xie, 6th grade; Zhen Chen, 7th grade; and Mei Wang, 8th grade.

We also would like to congratulate the following students for passing our internal assessment.

Chinese Reading Competition Results Available, Prizes will be Provided This Saturday.

CSCH organized a Chinese reading competition in March 2024. Every student is encouraged to read a Chinese book everyday and try to write something about it. We received altogether 136 Chinese reading records with a total reading time of 3466 minutes from our students. We have 9 students with Chinese reading time longer than 200 minutes. These 9 students are the winners of our March Chinese reading competition winners: 田璐璐，Sophie Lee，Ryan Lee，田琪琪，孙伯韬，边语修，Jinghe Liu，边语格和唐子傅！The prizes will be provided this Saturday 04/20/2024.

Chinese Character Writing Competition is ON for the Next Two Weeks.

CSCH is organizing a Chinese character writing competition for the next two weeks. We have the special writing papers printed and each classroom teacher will deliver these papers to our students this Saturday. It is suggested that one class should have the same writing contents and it is up to the classroom teacher to decide what his/her class should write. Students have two weeks to complete the writings and turn them in to their classroom teacher.

中文学校今年的毕业典礼和表彰大会计划将于05/25/2024下午1：25在824教室举行。所有今年毕业的学生将会收到毕业证书。所有在中文学校各种比赛中获奖的学生以及每个年级的优秀学生和最大进步奖学生也将在大会上收到奖品和奖状。邀请所有的学生和家长参加。

第24届世界华人学生作文大赛结果出炉，祝贺所有获奖同学和老师。

世界华人学生作文大赛始创于2000年。由中国侨联、全国台联、人民日报海外版、《快乐作文》杂志共同主办，至今已成功举办了二十届。参赛对象为海外各国、各地区中小学或华文学校在校侨生，以及中国（含港、澳、台）小学、初中学生（含归侨学生），2019年大赛经教育部审批后，参赛对象中国大陆地区为高中在校学生。大赛自创办至今，得到了海内外师生的广泛关注和积极参与。参赛学生覆盖30多个国家和地区的华人华侨子女，海内外参与者用他们的独特视角，讲述中国故事、传播中国声音、弘扬中华文化，展示真实、立体、全面的中国，增进了中国与世界的民心相通，已成为促进海外华文教育创新发展、拓展青少年海外联谊、增进中外文化交流的一个重要载体。

组织学生参加此项比赛是教堂山中文学校的传统。此次比赛我校共有40位学生提交了作品，经过校内评审选送28位同学的作品参加复赛。在最近揭晓的最终评审结果中，我校学生获得了一等奖1人，二等奖2人，三等奖2人的成绩，另外我校解洪波，陈铮和王玫老师获评优秀指导教师的荣誉！在此恭喜以下获奖学生和指导老师，并感谢学生家长对孩子的支持和鼓励。以下为获奖名单：

中文读书打卡竞赛活动结果出炉。

在我校上月举行的三月春光中文读书打卡活动中，我们共收到136条中文读书记录，总共读书时长3466分钟。其中共有9位小朋友读书时长超过了200分钟，是我们‘三月春光读书打卡’的优胜者，奖品将在这周六发出！他们是田璐璐，Sophie Lee，Ryan Lee，田琪琪，孙伯韬，边语修，Jinghe Liu，边语格和唐子傅！孩子们上传的读书感想也很可爱！

中文写字比赛这周开始了。

中文学校将在未来的两周里举行中文写字比赛。为写字比赛准备的稿纸已经打印完成，将在这个周末由各班老师分发给学生。学校建议每个班的老师指定自己班上的学生应该写的内容。同学们有两个星期的时间完成这个写字的任务，并按时交给自己的老师。中文学校将组织集体评判。
